Furniture Retailer Provides Makeover to Women’s Shelter
Sioux Falls, SD, May 19, 2011 – Furniture Outlets USA is excited to announce the completion of a year-long makeover project for Children’s Inn
, a shelter providing safe escape for women and children experiencing domestic violence.
The project was a multi-faceted process, starting approximately one year ago with the donation of all new Restonic Mattresses to replace each bed within the shelter. Throughout the months following the mattress install, Furniture Outlets USA worked with members at Children’s Inn to design a plan that would include all new furnishings that met the comfort needs of the shelter as well as durability requirements.
Fresh paint was applied in preparation for the final installation phase of all new furniture, flat screen TVs, wall art, lamps, and area rugs. The project saw completion on Tuesday, May 17, 2011.
“We are very excited, and feel incredibly fortunate, to be able to coordinate this project,” says Gordy Wallenstein, President of Furniture Outlets USA. “Children’s Inn is such a deserving organization that has served an unfortunate need in our community for many years. We’ve had a lot of internal volunteers in helping to organize this corporate effort and have had sincere interest from other companies that so willingly contributed as well. It is great to see businesses work together for a greater cause, and I’m proud and honored to have Furniture Outlets USA spearhead this project.”
